The 7'2MH handled this huge black drum easily. I was extremely impressed with the rod and even though I felt severely undergunned w a 3000 reel, the rod performed amazingly. I also love how it comes with a seperate tip and mid section. Would recommend to anyone.

Great travel rod-reel combo. I got 7'2'' M / MH and paired it with the 3000 series reel.. Fished with it for a week off the beach in the Florida panhandle and caught some nice speckled trout and black drum with it. This rod is going in my bag whenever I travel.
Took my new Toadfish travel rod to Costa Rica to fish with a remote, local guide. Paired it with a 2500 series reel with 15lb braid. Tossing paddle tail around structure. First catch was a nice jack crevalle. Switched to some cut bait on a bottom rig and landed this cubera snapper. The rod performed flawlessly in both casting and bottom fishing. We kept a few of the fish, but gave them to the guide so he could feed his family. Otherwise, we put 'em back.
First fish I got on it was an almost state record black drum. Held up great.
It’s a fantastic rod. Durable, sensitive, easy to take apart and transport with the case. All around great quality for the price.
Very very fast shipping. I have my commercial pilots license and fly a little private plane. The travel case is very light weight and easy to store. I just took it to the bahamas and had a great time catching snapper and the occasional shark (for a second) . The rod feels very light and strong. The 7.2 was the perfect size
I bought the Toadfish travel spinning rod for trips to Florida but took it to Canada and it was fantastic. Sorry you can’t see the rod very well but you get the idea.
Love this new version of the stow away rod. The black carbon fiber case is a great improvement over the older aluminum case. I can not wait to put it to use soon. Also got the travel stuff rod and can't wait to use that also.
Great travel rod
Preparing for a trip to Canada fishing for pike and walleye. The hard take-down gives me options for heavy pike lures and lighter lures for walleye. I paired the take-down with 2 different reels with light and heavy line depending on the actions needed. Both options worked great in the local bass pond this morning. Even managed to land a nice 4 pounder on the light setup. Can't wait to hit the river in Canada to really test it out.
The Stowaway travel rod blew me away when I unboxed it! From the carbon storage tube to the rod itself, the system is beautiful, lightweight and a joy to fish with.
This is my second stow away rod . I have caught salmon, steelhead , big mutton snapper and many other. Big salt water refresh water in the lawn performs excellent.
I have 4 of them now. They are my go to rod when we fly in to Walleye and Northern pike fish in Northern Manitoba. The rods are sensitive enough to detect a Walleye bite on one cast and then strong enough to haul in a 36 inch Northern on the next cast. Looking forward to taking them Redfish and Gator Trout fishing in Texas soon. Will absolutely buy more

I had to return the rod and reel, I thought it was for surf fishing. The return was flawless.
Took this 7’2 mh travel rod to the Cayman Islands for tarpon and handed 25-50 lb tarpon excellent using the fast action tip. Paired it with a 4000 reel and 40 lb braid.

I’ve been wanting this rod combination for quite some time and took the holiday sale opportunity to purchase. Unfortunately, you do not ship to Alaska, my home. So the rod is sitting in Wisconsin, waiting for me to pick it up. Then I can honestly evaluate.
This rod has excellent action and feel. Plenty of backbone to turn large reds. The grip has a nice feel in hand as well. The overall craftsmanship is very nice. The graphite rod tube is a real bonus for the set up and looks awesome! Best travel spinning rod ever made!

I take them on fly in fishing trips to northern Canada. The rods travel great and perform magnificently on remote waters with trophy fish!
Bought to take to the bahamas. Tube fit well in suit case, and the rod was great for pitching jigs.
When you get the combo with the reel the lisitng fails to explain that you’re getting a carbon II reel not the carbon elite II was kinda disappointed to see that when I unboxed it especially considering the price point. The rod however is very nice and im excited to put it to use.
